FAQ
Q. 1. What is the Library opening hours?
Ans.The Library and the Reading Room are open from 3.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. on all days except on 2 nd and 4 th Saturdays, Sundays and Institutional holidays.
Q. 2. How can I become a member of the Library?
Ans.To facilitate the process of extending library membership, the current students of B. A.(Hons. & General), B. Sc. (Hons. & General), B. Com. (Hons. & General) and M. Com. are asked to deposit their fee collection card to the Library Counter within Library Hours of any working day.
Q. 3. Who are eligible for member of the Library?
Ans.All Under Graduate and Post Graduate students, non-teaching staffs, all types of faculties and administrative staffs of the College are eligible for library membership. Outside persons including ex-students may also be admitted on the basis of written application with proper documents to use the Library for reading and reference purposes at the discretion of the Librarian as Outside Members.
Q.4. What shall I do if I lost my Library Membership Card?
Ans.If a member loses his / her library card, the loss should be immediately reported to the Librarian in written form. Duplicate Library Card will be issued on payment of Rs. 20.00 as token fine.
Q. 5. What shall I do if I lost or damage Library Material?
Ans.For lost or damaged Library Material, user is required to replace this with new material of same title, same author, same edition or latest edition and of the same publisher. The damaged material will be handed over to the relevant user. Where the lost items forms part of a series and cannot be acquired separately, the user may be liable for the replacing the entire set with purchasing new set.
Q. 6. When and how I shall collect Library Clearance Certificate?
Ans. Library Clearance Certificate is issued to all students from the Library on submission of library card (if issued) or fee collection card at the time of University Form fill-up, Re- admission and Leave or Transfer from the College. All faculties and staff members should obtain Library Clearance Certificate before leave / transfer the College or at the retirement time.
Q. 7. How can I search my required books?
Ans.Books are arrangedaccording to subject wise or classified order in the stack room. First of all you should search OPAC to obtain Call number of the book and then you will go to the particular subject (Class Number) Almirah. Since the Library has open access facility for all users, so anyone can search his/her required document directly in stack room and collect his/her document.
Q.8. How can I borrow a book for home from the Central Library?
Ans. First of all you will collect your required book from the stack room and then bring it to the Lending section. Here you will have to fill requisition slip with book details as well as membership details and submit to the lending section along with your Membership Card. Library staffs of Lending section will issue your book after checking your membership and book details.
Q. 9. How can I get help from Library staffs?
Ans. Library staffs help you in every steps of your library work. You can get help for searching the OPAC, searching bookshelf or subject almirah, searching books, to fill requisition slip, search E-resources, question paper, syllabus, and help for mailing, and so on.
Q. 10. What type of E-resources can I access?
Ans. Any user can access different types of E-resources like E-boos, E-Journals, Databases, Institutional repository, University Question Papers of previous years, Syllabus, etc.
Q. 11. What type of digital services can I access?
Ans.Any user can access Digital Repository, NLIST of NFLIBNET, access links of different Digital Libraries like National Digital Library of India, E-mail services, WhatsApps services etc.
Q.12. Can I access Xerox service in free?
Ans. Yes, any user can access reprography service like Xerox service in free or without any payment.
Q. 13. Can External user or Ex-student access this Library?
Ans.Outside persons including ex-students may also be admitted on the basis of written application with proper documents to use the Library for reading and reference purposes at the discretion of the Librarian as Outside Members.
Q. 14. Can I search or browse Library catalogue from anywhere and anytime?
Ans. Yes, anyone can search or browse library catalogue from anywhere and anytime through the WebOPAC link: https://rbcec-opac.kohacloud.in/
Q. 15. Is there any career oriented collection?
Ans. Yes, there exists a Career Guidance Section for Competitive Examination. In this section, there is a collection of Books on TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, CAT, MAT, UGC-
NET/JRF/SLET, Banking, Insurance, PSC, Rail, CSSC (School Service), SSC, WBCS, books on General Studies, General Arithmetic, General English, Verbal & Non-verbal Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs for different all India competitive examinations. The Section has been functioning from January 2005. However, considering the need and importance all-out effort is being made to enrich the collection of this Section.

Submissions of electronic versions of papers are welcome at the following email address:
Submissions which do not conform to the journal’s style sheet may be returned to respective authors for necessary revisions before publication. Contributors will receive a single copy of the particular issue of LOOK EAST in which the contribution appears.

Style Sheet
- The manuscript should include a separate page(s) for title of the paper, the institutional affiliation(s) of the author(s) and acknowledgements and related matter, if any.
- The manuscript should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 100 words.
- Footnotes should be numbered consecutively and should appear at the bottom of the corresponding pages.
- References should come at the end of the manuscript.
- The mathematical formulae and equations should be clearly written and numbered consecutively in the manuscript.
- Graphs, charts, etc. should be neatly drawn and presented; preferably art work or laser print of the same should be sent.
- Tables and graphs should be numbered consecutively and not according to the section in which they appear.
- Referencing
- In the text: Name of the author and year of publication are to be cited in brackets.
- In the References List Names of the authors should be arranged according to the alphabetical order of surnames. The writing of references should follow the usual norms.
